Pine Valley is a skilled health care and rehabilitation facility dedicated to providing quality physical, spiritual and emotional care to residents who require short and long term care services. For over 135 years Pine Valley had been serving a critical role in the continuum of care for Richland County residents. In effort to better meet the needs of their customers, Pine Valley underwent a complete make-over, creating a warm and comforting place for their residents to call home. Simply put, the 1960 facility exceeded its useful life, and Pine Valley wished to enhance their facility to accommodate the rise in the aging population and address the critical facility needs. The updated building offers improvements that create an efficient and desirable environment for their residents such as private rooms and bathrooms which provide a more home-like setting. Other features of the new facility include 80 new skilled nursing beds with 16 assisted living beds; a flexible design for future expansion; neighborhood style design with a community kitchen and dining room for each neighborhood; access to natural light; state-of-the-art physical therapy rehab gym; and enhanced occupational therapy services. All this was done to increase efficiency in care and provide a better environment for their residents.
