Vogel Bros. served as the Design-Build General Contractor for the Oakwood Village East Retirement Community, a 520,000-square-foot independent and assisted living campus located in Madison, Wisconsin. Developed for Oakwood Village and designed in partnership with HSR Associates, the project consisted of the complete design and construction of the Oakwood Village East Campus. Delivered in two phases over 25 months.
The community includes 206 independent living retirement apartment homes and 20 assisted living units dedicated to memory care, providing a continuum of care within a single campus environment. A centrally located community center enhances resident life with amenities including a beauty and barber shop, library, activity rooms, wellness center, and chapel. Through an integrated design-build approach, Vogel Bros. successfully delivered a large-scale senior living community that emphasizes quality construction, thoughtful design, and long-term value for residents and ownership.
