Vogel Bros. served as the Design-Build General Contractor for the Oakwood Village Prairie Ridge Skilled Nursing Facility, a two-story, 33,717-square-foot health and rehabilitation center located in Madison, Wisconsin. Developed for Oakwood Lutheran Homes Association, Inc. and designed in collaboration with Dimension IV Architects, the project delivered a modern, 42-bed skilled nursing facility focused on resident comfort, operational efficiency, and future adaptability. The facility features private and semi-private resident rooms, each with dedicated bath and shower facilities, creating a supportive and dignified living environment.
The building is constructed with a steel frame and pre-cast concrete structural system, complemented by non-combustible metal stud walls and two-hour fire separation between floors to ensure safety and durability. A partial basement supports building operations, and the structure was intentionally designed to allow for future expansion, enabling continued operation either as a Skilled Nursing Facility or as a Community Based Residential Facility (CBRF). Through integrated delivery, disciplined cost management, and a focus on quality construction, Vogel Bros. successfully delivered a state-of-the-art skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility that supports Oakwood Village’s long-term commitment to senior care in the Madison community.
