The Peggy Lindberg Agility Park at Oakwood Village’s Hebron Oaks rehabilitation center reimagines how outdoor spaces can support recovery. Designed to extend rehabilitation beyond the walls of the therapy gym, the park provides residents and rehabilitation patients with a safe, engaging environment that encourages movement while promoting physical, mental, and emotional well-being. The project was completed in just five weeks through close collaboration with Oakwood Village, EUA, and Saiki Design.
The park features a variety of walking surfaces including concrete, boardwalks, gravel, sand, and synthetic wood; along with gentle elevation changes, therapy-focused seating, accessible pathways, retaining walls, decorative stonework, and landscape elements designed to support real-world mobility and balance training. Thoughtfully integrated butterfly gardens, native plantings, and gathering spaces create an environment that is equally restorative for residents, families, and visitors.
