School Supplies for Kids
Founded by the Vogel Foundation in 1993, School Supplies for Kids helps economically disadvantaged students in Dane County by providing essential school supplies. About 30% of local students qualify as economically disadvantaged, and having the right tools helps close the achievement gap and supports success in school and beyond.
We work with teachers to identify grade specific needs, including pens, pencils, markers, paper, and folders, and distribute supplies to schools based on the percentage of students in need. Monetary donations go the farthest, allowing us to purchase items in bulk, ensure consistency, and streamline distribution. Your support makes a real difference, and we often hear directly from students and staff about the lasting impact of your generosity.
UNITED WAY OF DANE COUNTY
Vogel Bros. Building Co. and its employees have proudly supported United Way for decades, contributing to initiatives that strengthen education, health, and financial stability in the communities we serve.
Our commitment extends beyond financial support. Pete Vogel served as a United Way Campaign Chair, helping lead broader community efforts to drive impact and engagement.
Through corporate giving, employee pledges, special events, and annual campaigns, Vogel Bros. and our employees have made meaningful contributions to this mission. Each year, our themed company picnic and workplace giving campaign not only raise funds for an important cause, but also bring employees together around a shared commitment to giving back.
SCIENCE OLYMPIAD
Vogel Bros. is proud to support Science Olympiad, a program that encourages middle and high school students to explore science, technology, engineering, and math through hands-on competition and teamwork. The program brings students together to solve complex challenges, design innovative solutions, and apply classroom knowledge to real-world problems.
Through our involvement, Vogel Bros. helps provide resources that allow students to participate, experiment, and grow their interest in STEM fields. Investing in programs like Science Olympiad is one way we support the next generation of innovators, engineers, and leaders.
COMMUNITY BLOOD DRIVE
Through our Community Blood Drive, we open our doors to employees, partners, and neighbors to help meet an ongoing and critical need.
In partnership with the American Red Cross, these events are hosted at our office and open to the public, bringing together our team, subcontractors, and local businesses to make a meaningful impact. By working collaboratively, we’re able to increase participation and contribute to a stronger, more resilient community.
