Size

135,000 square feet

Project Description

The building is a gift from the UW Medical Foundation to the UW School of Medicine and Public Health faculty physicians in commemorating the 100th anniversary of the school. The building is the west gateway to the University of Wisconsin – Madison Campus. This seven-story building is the first LEED@ certified building on the UW Madison campus and is located next to the recently completed American Family Children’s Hospital with an enclosed walkway connection to the UW Hospital. Vogel Bros. Building Co. provided design-build and construction management services for this facility that houses offices for 10 clinical departments. Private offices line the rectilinear sides of the building, while open cubicles populate the curved area, so occupants may enjoy natural light and views. Designed for flexibility, the spaces may be reconfigured as departments grow, expand, or relocate.
