Vogel Bros. served as the General Contractor for the conversion of the existing Walnut Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) into a wastewater flow equalization pumping facility, along with modifications to several off-site wastewater lift stations.
The project transformed the former treatment facility into a dedicated flow equalization and pumping operation, improving system efficiency and managing peak wastewater flows. Work included reconfiguration of existing structures, installation of new pumping equipment, mechanical and electrical upgrades, controls integration, and associated site improvements to support the facility’s new operational role.
In addition to on-site upgrades, the project involved modifications to multiple off-site lift stations to enhance reliability, capacity, and overall system performance. Improvements included mechanical and electrical enhancements, control upgrades, and coordination of work within active wastewater infrastructure.
Through strategic sequencing and careful coordination within an operating utility environment, Vogel Bros. successfully delivered critical system upgrades that improved flow management, increased operational resilience, and supported long-term wastewater infrastructure needs.
