Project Description

Vogel Bros. served as the General Contractor for comprehensive upgrades to the existing Sanford Water Treatment Plant No. 2, enhancing treatment performance, system reliability, and operational control.

The project included installation of new ozone treatment equipment and granular activated carbon (GAC) systems to improve water quality and treatment efficiency. Additional improvements encompassed new tanks, pump stations, and associated process piping to support plant capacity and functionality.

Supporting infrastructure upgrades included site improvements, telemetry integration, installation of a standby generator, and electrical service enhancements to a new control panel and related facilities. These upgrades strengthened system resiliency, improved monitoring capabilities, and ensured continued compliance with regulatory standards.

Through detailed coordination within an active water treatment environment, Vogel Bros. successfully delivered critical plant improvements that enhance long-term performance and reliability for the community’s potable water system.
