NORD Gear partnered with Vogel Bros. Building Co. for three different renovation/additions at their headquarters in Waunakee within the past 20 years. The first project consisted of two additions to the existing facility including Class A office space and manufacturing space. The office was constructed with a conventional steel frame, steel studs, brick veneer building envelope, single ply membrane roof, and rooftop VAV heating and cooling system. The second project was a 37,500 square foot metal building addition to their existing manufacturing space and a 3,200 square foot addition to their warehouse, including shipping and receiving, office space, locker rooms and restrooms. As a world leader in drive technology, demand for industrial gear reducers, motors and variable frequency drives has only increased. To meet the demand, they added 86,000 square feet of office and manufacturing space. The expansion of the manufacturing space includes some notable investments in new technology, expanded warehouse, and an impressively high Very Narrow Aisle Pallet Racking system. Meanwhile, office workers will benefit from additional cubicles, new meeting rooms, expanded breakroom, and a much-improved training room.
