Hooper Corporation is a specialty electric power and mechanical contractor that has been headquartered in Madison since 1913. Previously working in various locations in Madison, the goal was to unify the company under one roof that still allowed them room to grow. This lead to their expansion located on 50 acres in DeForest, WI. Vogel Bros. Building Co. was hired as the construction partner on the over 207,000 square foot fabrication facility to help enhance their business model, develop new processes and integrate their state-of-the-art technologies to reduce the waste of raw materials. The innovative design of the fabrication facility maximizes efficient operations and manages the flow of raw materials and finished products ready for installation on job sites. The facility is equipped with enhanced technology capabilities and serves as a unified location for plumbing, fire protection, process piping, custom metals, and HVAC sheet metal products to serve people across the Midwest. One room of the fabrication facility is 60 feet wide and 300 feet long, fully enclosed and is solely for stainless steel pipe work to avoid cross contamination for products that can be used in laboratories and food-grade machines.
