Project Description

Vogel Bros. Building Co. served as the General Contractor for the design and construction of Lake Park State Pump Station No. 7, a federally funded potable water infrastructure project supporting the Lake Park Estates residential development in Sarasota County, Florida.

Delivered under a Design-Build approach, the project was developed in partnership with Toll Brothers and Sarasota County to address water age and fire flow distribution concerns within the growing community. The new facility receives potable water from Sarasota County’s distribution system, specifically the Carlton Water Treatment Plant, and provides boosting, storage, and chemical treatment prior to redistribution.

The project included construction of approximately 17,200 linear feet of new water main, a new 2.8 MGD booster pump station, and a 750,000-gallon pre-stressed ground storage tank (GST). The station was designed to provide reliable potable water storage capacity, re-pumping capabilities, and chemical treatment as needed to maintain system performance and water quality standards.

The project reflects Vogel Bros.’ expertise in complex utility infrastructure, coordination with public agencies, and delivery of high-quality, resilient water systems that support long-term community growth.
