The Great Lakes Educational Loan Services project consisted of the construction of a Tier 2 data center within an existing office and warehouse facility. Vogel Bros. Building Co. worked closely with the owner and IT staff during the design phase to establish aggressive goals and coordinated pre-ordered major mechanical and electrical equipment deliveries to meet the fast track construction schedule. The project called for providing redundancy to all systems including uninterrupted power supply, emergency generation, and data center cooling. In addition, we renovated adjacent support areas and created mechanical space for data center infrastructure.
