Vogel Bros. served as the General Contractor for the comprehensive renovation of the Dade City Wastewater Treatment Plant, delivering critical process, mechanical, and safety upgrades to enhance overall plant performance and reliability.
The project included selective demolition of inactive basins and construction of a new sludge digester to improve solids handling and treatment efficiency. The disinfection system was converted to sodium hypochlorite, providing a safer and more efficient method of treatment.
Additional improvements included upgrades to two clarifiers, replacement of Return Activated Sludge (RAS), Waste Activated Sludge (WAS), and internal recycle (IR) pumps, as well as various safety and maintenance enhancements throughout the facility. Work was carefully phased and coordinated to maintain plant operations during construction.
Through strategic sequencing and close coordination within an active treatment environment, Vogel Bros. successfully delivered vital infrastructure improvements that strengthened system performance, operational safety, and long-term sustainability for the community.
