Vogel Bros. Building Co. is serving as the General Contractor for the new Waunakee Community Middle School, a state-of-the-art educational facility being constructed for the Waunakee Community School District. The new school is designed to serve grades 7 and 8 in a modern, student-centered learning environment and is scheduled to open in Fall 2026.
The approximately 235,000-square-foot facility is part of the district’s long-range facilities plan to replace aging infrastructure and accommodate current and future enrollment growth. Approved through a community referendum, the project represents a significant investment in Waunakee’s educational future.
The design emphasizes flexible, collaborative learning spaces that support innovative instruction and student engagement. The building will feature modern classrooms organized into learning communities, dedicated areas for STEM and hands-on instruction, updated music and art facilities, physical education spaces, and secure, welcoming common areas. Site development includes parking, athletic fields, and improved traffic circulation to enhance safety and accessibility.
Sustainability and energy efficiency are integral components of the project, aligning with the district’s commitment to responsible stewardship and long-term operational efficiency. Through proactive coordination, quality craftsmanship, and strong collaboration with district leadership and design partners, Vogel Bros. is delivering a facility that will serve as a cornerstone of the Waunakee community for generations to come.
